Hello All,

I've been feeling down and abit miserable for the last 7 days, today the pain was ok so I decided to go shopping and treat myself to some new perfume.
,
Now two weeks ago I went to Gran Canaria and really wanted to buy some at the airport on the way home but did not have enough euros on me, my hubby and I had had a bit of an arguement and I wasn't going to ask him to buy me some, although I know he would have, my pride was stopping me.

Anyway I always buy the same perfume which is Diorella by Dior, but this time I wanted a change, and I found a lovely one called L'EAU D'Issey by Issey Miyake which wasn't cheap, and then I went into Marks and Spencer and they have buy three get one free on gifts, so for everyday use I bought Florentyn and Perfection which are really pleasant.

I know I went over the top but it doesn't half make me feel better.

Anyway its a minefield trying to find a new perfume and gets a bit confusing after a while, so what perfume do you like and what is the smell like. Diorella is very fresh and lemonee.

Anne x

Hi Anne,
Can't really wear perfume now, as it gives me migraine. But I do remember when I was younger, I loved the smell and wore Aqua Manda by Goya.
I mentioned this at work the other day, and a few of us remembered this perfume.

hi Annie,

well the first Perfume i ever bought with one of my first wage packets at 16 was Estee Lauder Youth Dew and i love it.

i've tried others over the years including the Miss Dior range, but i always go back to Youth Dew, so that means i've been using it for 41 years now !! Gulp .. lol

if i'm getting low then it's on my Christmas or Birthday list so i don't run out.

Hi Annie- of course you didn't go over the top- if it cheers you up, go for it! We all need it from time to time. My indulgence is Lush bath products.

I remember buying my first perfume- 'Chique' by Yardley. There was also one called 'Envol' by Ted Lapidus, both no longer available.

I used to love Calvin Klein's Obsession until it brought me out in a rash.

My current favourite is 'Eau de Soir ' by Sisley- my husband bought some for me a couple of Christmases ago, when I was in terrible pain and at an all time low just before I was diagnosed with RA. Bless him- he'd been with me when I was trying perfumes in John Lewis and had remembered that I'd tried this one but it was too expensive to buy for myself It was made even better by the fact that he never usually remembers what I like.

I also like Dioressence, Chanel's Coco, Black Cashmere by Donna Karan, Prada and recently tried a sample of Estee Lauder's Sensuous which I quite like.

Hi Anne

I have a shelf full of perfume from when I used to work in a call centre and they used to have people selling different things on different days in the staff area. One of the most common vendors there was a perfume stall (all proper stuff), so I spent a small fortune on perfumes in those days. I go through phases with my favourites but the one I always seem to come back to is Sunflowers, Elizabeth Arden. My mum says that whenever she smells it, it reminds her of me so I suppose that would be my 'signature' perfume. Although the last few days I've been wearing a perfume from Next which I think is called Just Pink.

I like Next Just Pink too.

Husband one Christmas bought me a bottle of Poison.........don't know if there was a message there. I can't wear it, it makes me feel sick and gives me a headache.

For years I have been wearing Organza, just love it. When I go and see Julie in Gibraltar I always get stocked up on it. Perfume is so cheap there. I save £££££'s.

I also like the Next Just Pink.
A couple of months ago I fell in love with the new Marc Jacobs perfume, Lola. After dropping LOTS of hints my husband bought me it for my birthday and I love it. It's in a gorgeous purple bottle with a rose on the top.
I also like YSL Paris and DKNY Be Delicious.

Oooh yes I like Be Delicious too but I've run out and I've made a promise not to buy any new perfume until I've got through all the other bottles left on my shelf!

I keep trying to use up all old ones - O de Lancome - Tresor - Chanel 5 - Dolce Vita - Eau de Dolce Vita - but as soon as I get near the end of one I panic and buy a replacement!!!!!!!!!!!! and the body lotion so I can 'layer'.
I like different ones for daytime and nighttime. Oh - and Ultra Violet and Lovely. Oh heck - didn't realise I had so many - but I never leave the bedroom without some on! or earrings - come to think of it.Tongue

I'm a DKNY Be Delicious fan too! Just got some more. I tend to always go back to Armani perfumes, my favourited are 'Elle' and Aqua Di Gio. (There's one just called just 'Gio' though and I really don't like that one).
